Asking For Prayer

If you pray, please say a prayer for my daughter.  She is 15 and going through teenage angst.  She is the type of person who wears her heart on her sleeve and wants to be friends with everyone and doesn’t understand why some people act the way they do.  Because she is so open with her emotions she has become a constant target with a handful of particularly nasty girls at school.  She is not handling this rationally.  Her father and I are doing everything we can for her, but I know the healing power of intercessory prayer and what it can do.

She loves God, but right now she is not thinking rationally.  I have seen an improvement the last couple of days as we have finally convinced her to start relying more on God and family.  She is reading the teen Study Bible I had bought for her brother and coming to us when she finds relevant scripture and applications and just says "Wow, you are right."  Today at school instead of reacting to a particular girl, she went to an adult and had the adult call a "meeting" and felt better after the meeting.  This is a huge step for her.  I hope this can continue so she sees that there are other ways to deal with what she feels is despair.

The world is so different today than it was when I was her age.  I experienced some of what she has, but not to the extent and the viciousness that she has.  It is so hard for kids these days, I pray for them all.

Thanks.  It is truly appreciated.
